NORTHERN NATIONAL
Northern National is an Alternative/Pop band based out of Dallas, TX. Started by Michael Kanne, Michael Rossi, & Michael Wilson, Northern National’s debut album “Young & in Love” released on September 2nd, 2014.
When asked about the feel of the debut album, this is how the band responds,
“Love is an ancient thing. But in moments it is made brand new. “Young & in Love” is about those moments. Love can be intense, sweet, fun, spontaneous, whimsical, or relaxed, and the variety of sounds in the record reflects the variety of forms that a young love can take. It doesn’t all sound the same, because love never is. We wanted to capture that.”
THE ORANGE
The Orange is a neo-psychedelic band from Dallas Texas, started and fronted by musician Scott Tucker. Other members of the group include Cody Waits, “Chicago Dan” Langerman, Jason Jessup, and Kirk Livesay. With breathtaking live performances and fantastic song writing The Orange brings forth a unique sound the Granada Theater calls, “rock and roll simmering with catchy hooks and soaring melodies”.
The group is currently working on their first full length album with the Grammy winning producer Eric Delegard. The Orange’s first full length album is due to release in 2013. The future holds nothing but greatness for this amazing band.
FOGG
The Fort Worth-based power trio is young, to be sure, but unlike dozens of other musicians their age, they sound like they’ve been handing out a haze of psychedelic doom for years.
The dudes in the Fogg share an affinity for other late ’60s/early ’70s heavy metal progenitors like Blue Cheer and Hawkwind, neither of which tends to be popular with people under 20, or even 30 for that matter, and yet the fuzzy leads oozing from Jowell and Hoffman’s amps are firmly rooted in that era.
