We’d like to take a minute to introduce you to each of the 24 artists who will be taking the stage at our inaugural, “Not-South By” Showcase. We’ve dividing the artists into groups of six, so that you don’t get information overload and have a music-related meltdown. So, doing the math, this will be the fourth of four parts we are deftly calling, “Meet the Artists.”

Heady, reverb laden chill-wave. Goes well with; Radiohead, British Sea Power, Secret Machines.

#2. SON OF SWAN (DALLAS, TX)
Upbeat, prodigy-level guitar heroics. Goes well with; Van Halen, Richie Sambora, The Darkness.

#3. THE BIRDS OF NIGHT (DENTON, TX)
Indie-pop blended with blueblood soul. Goes well with; The Strokes, The Vines, The Raconteurs.

#4. BUGGABOO (AUSTIN, TX)
Americana shuffles and swamp rock. Goes well with; Blind Melon, North Mississippi Allstars, Heartless Bastards.

#5. THE DEMIGS (DENTON, TX)
Chilled out indie rock. Goes well with; Artic Monkeys, Kaiser Chiefs, the Walkmen.

#6. CHASE RYAN & THE GRAVE (DENTON, TX)
Blues rock and soul; original singer for Memphis May Fire. Goes well with; The Virgin Wolves, Memphis May Fire.
