When one of the bands slated to record at Big Acre dropped unexpectedly, Hand Drawn Records creative director, Dustin Blocker (vocalist; Exit 380), took the opportunity to record an original tune, penned under his ongoing pseudonymous project, W.A. Fite. Completely unprepared, Blocker quickly wrote the lyrics and enlisted session producer, Andrew Tinker to sit in on piano and compose on the spot.
The result of the last minute collaboration is nothing short of gorgeous — tugging at the Christmas heartstrings at just the right moments. We felt it a great bookend to our first Holiday compilation, embodying what we strive to accomplish, a true sense of musical community by simply connecting the artists to one another.
