Being a founding member of the Polyphonic Spree was not enough for singer-songwriter, piano-man, and all-around troubadour Andrew Tinker; leaving the group in 2003 to cut his own musical footprint with new backing players. Tinker and company’s soulful contribution “I Don’t Mind” feels steeped in familiar 70’s American Pop, yet never imitates into nostalgia.

ARTIST #2: CRANKSHAFT & THE GEAR GRINDERS (Anoka County, MN)

Rooted in blues, swing, and early rock n’ roll this one-man band has developed his own genre “pork neck”; drawing influences from his boyhood fondness of tape cassettes and the open road.
